Rous vineyard was planted in 1909 and is one of the first vineyards planted on St George root stock in the Lodi AVA. Very consistent yields of 2.5 tons per acts, year after year the Rous vineyard is our first Zinfandel vineyard picked. Showing very distinct  Eastside characteristics of floral nose with bright red fruit, red and racy though the palate.

Arguably the most famous of Spain's native grapes. This vintages shows a vibrant, aromatic nose with spicy, red fruit aromas and flavors. The grape's name translates to "little early one," a moniker that references fruit's early ripening tendency. Tempranillo thrives in Lodi wonderful Mediterranean climate from the Estate Vineyard Lot 13. Through the palate this vintage exhibits flavors of plum, strawberries and spice with a lingering finish...a wonderful wine to pair with food. Contention (definition; the act or an instance of striving in controversy or debate, an assertion put forward in argument) is 100% Zinfandel from this beautiful 80 year old head trained vineyard grown by Robert Lauchland. This vineyard is found on the Westside of the Lodi AVA. This Zinfandel is a perfect representation of the terrior of the Vineyard. Sultry and complex. Earth, Dust and Mineral are the major components of this unique Zinfandel.  Unfiltered with native fermentation.

A show of tropical fruit and floral aromas, this opens with attractive scents of dry honeysuckle, honeydew melon and citrus leads the frame to guava, pineapple rind and red apple fruit core. Arriving medium-weight  on the palate, with bright, orange-laced acidity to lift. A final note of delicate stone fruit on the way back of the close. All stainless steel, native fermentation and 100% Chenin Blanc from the Hoffman Vineyard.
